Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela (18 July 1918 – 5 December 2013) was a South African
anti-apartheid revolutionary, political leader, and philanthropist
He
studied law at the University of Fort Hare and the University of the
Witwatersrand before working as a lawyer in Johannesburg.

Pollsmoor Prison: 1982–88
Victor Verster Prison and release: 1988–90
Nelson Mandela served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.
Nelson Mandela awarded 2017 Nobel Peace Prize for outstanding contributions in peace.
